I seemed to know an individual just like that Khstraiya, or is your name Chemistrya?-LOL,
Anyway, I don’t miss that guy, he was funny at times though, the things he came up with- But at times he didn’t appear a good advocate of non violence for this website, but it seemed to be true for him that he was helping another person know who they really are by comparison to what he was acting out. Yet it was really himself that he was getting to know better….Of course we know in the life of God there are no comparisons…
Still, keeping with infinite progress, I much prefer the guy on the golf course putting pleasantries on the green into the whole.
Happy Golfing!!

I encountered my first Chopra message board back in 2002. A few months after becoming a member, there was a poster by the name of "unknown" who began participating there. OMG!! You've never seen such an uproar as that guy created. Always telling us we were monkeys with monkey minds. It was quite interesting to read there at the time because all of the mighty pillars of spiritual seeking were there. It was unreal to see so many, who could write so beautifully from their finely-crafted, supposedly loving hearts, react with a torrent of rationalizing, justifying, and defending themselves.

I kind of mss that guy. He taught me a lot about myself.

John,
You don't know love...Pure and simple...? You say you realize how little you know?
You don't know life? You try to sound like you understand but you admit you are still a puppet on a string...so be it for you..
That which spiritual sense alone comprehends and which is unknown to the material senses is what you term the unknown..

Happy Fishing!!

Awareness and God's thoughts co-existing IS the point. For me, it's a 'filling out' out the experience.

Is it NOT being conscious to sit quietly AND wait for the words to arrive?

Have never played golf in Lake Tahoe. Mostly in the Midwest. I long to feel a gently sloping fairway underfoot as I approach my next shot...

I, too, experienced a rash of angry outbursts after a series of meditations, directed at my grandson. Oddly, I was repeating what had been directed at me when I was his age! Fear rising out of my "pain body" emerged and took over. In the middle of a tirade I was aware and was the observer, astounded at its force. "When the love of power is replaced by the power of love, we will know peace." "Life isn't as serious as my mind makes it out to be."

It appears what we have here is a meeting of the Eastern and Western mind...

The synesthetic Eastern mind responds to taste, smell, colour, the sound resonance and the Western Mind is intellectual and reactionary. So, The Western Mind sees things from an opposite perspective to the Eastern Orientated Mind.

The Linear English Language has become reactionary where the diphthongs become plosive in an expression of emotionally charged attachment to thought - especially where the language is a learned behaviour of expression - as is taught in most schools - often under threat and duress and mostly as a grapheme disassociated from the body.

The traditional languages of the East are kinaesthetic - they are feeling and knowing - not emotive and expressive - where the resonance of the phonetics are the sounds which make up the whispering sounds of the flow of soundlessness.

We can learn more about this here... http://www.transpersonal.com.au/mind.htm

But where would the melding take place?

Antero Alli describes "Second Attention" this way- "If you wish to increase perception, relax the urge to know, to label, and to define. While these reactions may temporarily secure our sense of certitude, their hypnotic influence easily overwhelms the inner action of seeing." http://www.paratheatrical.com/attention.html

We have to include another factor in the equation to arrive at understanding-

"Awareness is not the same as thought. It lies beyond thinking, although it makes use of thinking, honoring its value and power. Awareness is more like a vessel which can hold and contain our thinking, helping us to see and know our thoughts AS thoughts rather than getting caught up in them AS reality." -Jon Kabat Zinn

As we all might imagine, it IS stranger than we can think. :)

Wow indeed! When I first got to this article, I had a fleeting feeling that the author had these feelings of anger. Then I realized that it's not so. And by reading it I've learned something that I keep forgetting: not to act upon my feelings of anger - or any other feelings for the matter. Simply acknowledge them, notice them and let them simply float away.

Waiting for Godot? :)

And from Wallace Stevens’ "On the Road Home"

It was when I said,

That the grapes seemed fatter.
The fox ran out of his hole...

The linear-logical mind will always have a rough time with paradox, g ;)
