Ego ---- I work with the elderly and I love it !!! It is what I was called to / born to do. At work ego is not a problem at all. I don't care who gets credit for getting something done even if i was the one to do it. I don't care about recognition or even a pat on the back. I don't even need a thank you. Im there to serve and when i can do that, I am fulfilled within not needing a thing from anyone else.

In relationships ego is very present.... Ego makes me misinterpret things so I will say or feel like Im not first, I will feel left out , un-important. It's not true, I know but ego makes me take things out of proportion and sometimes causes an immediate rage like feeling. When I think about the situation long enough I say to myself "how could you be so silly." But it takes me a long time to get there. Ego won't let go. Why is it so different at work than in a relationship? Whats the difference? I want to do different in relationships just like at work.
