I find it sad that so many people are caught in the traps of thier religion. I find it hard to belive that sombody with a brain could belife the tall tales the almost every bible ive read dipicts. Do you people not pay attention to what you are reading? If the bible was really "the word of God" then it would be an obvious truth. yet many people including religous people struggle with and question it. You said that God gives us the freedom to choose good or bad. but he obviously wants us to choose good? what sense does that make? why would God give as freedom of choice and then restrict our freedom with ten commandments that dont make 100 % sense. For example: the one that talks about honoring your parents. I know plenty of bad parents who would tell there kids stealing isnt all that bad. Or what if your parents dont care if you sin or kill? The bible tells you to honor your parents but turns around and tells you not to steal or kill. see the word god would have to be stagnant as possible. The bible contadicts itself 100's of times. example: God says you shall not worship any other God "for i am a jealous God", but turns around and says that jealousy is a bad thing. So God is a hypocrite? im currently writting a paper revealing every contradiction of itself and of the Real world comparing passeges in the bible to undeniable truths. when somthing is true it is a fact meaning arguing with it is pointless, there is no way around it. There are plenty of ways around "The word of God" because it is not fully true. It it were true and acually the words of God it would be impossible for me or anyone else to take simple obvious facts and disprove every that the bible says. And remember if this is the word of God when you diprove 1 little detail the rest falls with it. Am i lying?

Bishop, you pose an interesting question.... "How would I feel if this was
my site"?

I do not object to those who hold differing viewpoints, unless they are
harmful to others. God has given us the freedom to choose good or bad.
But he also commands us to contend for the faith...

I have said this a thousand times it seems... Deepak's worldview is in direct
conflict with the Biblical worldview... You don't have to read much of Deepak's
material to recognize that he knows this and therefore attacks Judeo-
Christian beliefs. To me he is the ultimate wolf in sheeps clothing.
Superficially he talks of love and peace but it is only a love and peace
on his terms.... I often use the abortion issue to exemplify that, and of course
their response is to delete my post.

Going back to your question.... I have no conflicts in my belief system,
therefore I have no reason to hide from difficult questions. You mention the
Golden Rule? you must also keep it in context of defending the defenseless..
To understand me you must recognize that I believe Deepak's belief
system is inherrently evil and my questions and comments toward him
reflect that.... I have no apologies to offer.

Funny Deepak.... I have four girls and when I compare their behavior to my
nephews at a very young age (before it appears possible for them to be
influenced) it is quite obvious that the boys gravitate toward mechanical
things, the girls - dolls and clothes..
I don't know where you get this "Atman" garbage, but God definitely
created us male and female and it is more than biological.
Anyone who has raised children cannot deny this truth.
