my mother passed on in September. Deepak's comment has just released part of the mental, emotional, physical and spiritual pain that I've been experiencing: to the point that I have no involvement or responsibility in her soul's journey albeit my painful, guiltridden, fearful lifelong observation of her tormented struggles and abusive striking out. In that surrender of my seeming control my soul in joyfully at peace. namaste

I would suggest interacting with your mother as if it were for the very first time with each visit you experience with her. What we know about people becomes extinct in each moment. Therefore, we should only be concerned with how to uplift the energy of the object of our attention.

I have a friend who's child has been diagnosed with down syndrome. My friend asked me to pray for a healing for this child. I was asked if it was possible to have a healing where this child could ever become normal. My fist thought was that this child is already a perfect idea and expression of God. My second thought was what is normal? Many individuals in this human experience still believe themselves in their perceived reality to be human, is normal. Is being human the normalcy of our true being?
Perceiving ourselves as normal human beings is just as erroneous as perceiving someone with down syndrome and or a mental disorder. We are all spiritual beings and
I can really appreciate Deepaks answer, that the journey or experience we undergo is leading us all to temper or balance consciousness, ultimately bringing all of us to a Conscious recognition that we are all in fact, Spirit...Consciousness itself
