I was drawn to your question as I too feel the need to write and suffer from the same feelings as you
regarding the insecurity of it all. I am 56 and I applaud you for thinking this way so young. You have less
baggage to carry around than I do but you feel like you need more experience. Nonsense! What writing I
have done has been very cathartic to me if not to anyone
else. Taht is reason alone. When I was young writing about the craziness of the VietNam war was necessary to get beyond it.
Write for yourself first to say what you have to say. Depak's advice is wonderful. We have within us all the
guidance we need at our fingertips. Let them move your pen or push the keys. Just do it, as the NIKE slogan
says. Think later. Ready, shoot, aim, as someone else put it. When I have looked back at what I have
written, when some time has passed in between, I cannot believe that I wrote it. Meaning: you
will amaze even yourself! It is spirit coming through. It is a gift we all have. I like Depak's last two sentences
the most. Let the universe determine what role it will play. Do not worry about what we cannot control. I guess that si what risk is all about. You have to trust your Self. Nothing can change what we are and that is the basis of our confidence. This does not mean we cannot learn from others, by our mistakes, whatever, but we will be learning until we die until we become like God. Good wishes in your endeavors. I would love to read what you have to say.
