Doubtful,

I do not intend to make you even more doubting but what if it is the ex-husband submitting the question. The ex-wife does not have real motives to do it. On the other hand the ex-man " kills two rabbits with one shot" in this case.

1. He publicly announces his victory. Oh, the ego likes this kind of performance!

2. Then publicly tells the woman "to let go, keep quiet, move on, forget about it, forgive if possible and maybe even learn something".

He might have even written half of the response-comments.

Delusion knows so many ways! Since I started paying attention to it - I have been amazed myself by its creativity. Delusion keeps it fresh.

There is no winning over it. The only remedy is identifying it early enough, choosing distance and maintaining full detachment.

Disclaimer: My angle might be one of the many. So Doubtful do not take it seriously. Yours might be more valid than mine. The goal is not to figure it out but to choose position.

It is chosen!

I am very impressed by the responses. Thanks to all and thank you, Dr. Chopra.

For the betrayed I have a couple of questions. Did your man treat the same way he ended up treating you other people? Right in front of your approving eyes? Maybe that is how he made most of his living - by being overly clever and taking advantage of others? Maybe you even encouraged him? Did you benefit from all that in the past? Did you ever try to stop him in circumstances when others were taken advantage? Did you really feel you were extra special and he would never treat you that same way? Are you telling us everything? Are you saying that all those years your man was a saint and all by sudden he turned into a very bad boy?

I do not have comments.

This is an amazing response. By focusing on how we live inside the narrative of what happened, we become helpless and trapped in that story. I like the way you encourage an active movement away from that narrative, and a creation of a new story- very empowering. Excellent!

I recently saw you in a vidio supporting Mr. Kumar Trivedi for his amazing ability to heal. I am very excited to receive my blessings. I am also, very sad that Michael Jackson wasn't helped by Mr Trivedi, I know Michael was seeking spiritual help, would you know if he received blessings and were you able to share it with him.

Thankyou, I appreciate all your great work.

There is no "letting go". There is learning, growing and realizing and then releasing. I too get annoyed when someone say's "let it go". It's a process. Life is a process. Learn from your pain, you don't have to suffer. Suffering is a choice, I've learned. Go inside yourself and find your peace for it resideds in YOU. xx Lorrie

If someone betrayed you, in some point of your life (this or the previous ones) YOU did sth to him. Nothing occurs without a previous reason. You have to let it go not only to save your energy so you can move on, but also because now you cannot see or understand the real cause of it. Remember that God's laws are perfect, and injustices just don't exist, whether we accept it or not. Let it go, but change yourself and your life too, otherwise you will pass through this experience one more time. Peace.

when i am feeling hurt and angry and someone tells me to "let it go" i mostly feel like i want to STRANGLE them! from what i gathered from DC`s answer is that...you have to feel what you feel, let that run it`s course; but you do not have to LABEL yourself a victim or a betrayed. as you move thru you hurt and anger, you can move towards the more powerful YOU, who is beautiful and beloved by the Universe. do not deny what you feel and do not let anyone tell you HOW to feel! and try...try to trust that in time you will see and experience what is waiting patiently for you. you are and always will be Triumphant.

Sometimes when we try to 'work out' why things happen, that too becomes something that we carry in - addition to the hurt that we were trying to work out in the first place. In times like that I agree with the 'let it go' approach. Otherwise, it just becomes a total head wreck!

Sometimes you wish to let go but the betrayal keeps going on and on eventhough you try to move on this person never really stops making your life impossible and all this person does affects your life in such a way that letting go is impossible. Therefore i do not believe in karma (this person keeps on going and justice is not done for more than 20 years) it affects everything, financially, children, other (new) half etc. So letting go becomes impossible!

PS: Miracle is yet to come for me?

I have so much experience at dealing with betrayal much of which took place in the formative years. I agree with Deepak. The sting that comes with this feeling can not be avoided yet if you look at it with the idea that the deeper mystery of life is guiding you down a richer path that we sometimes need a little nudging towards then you can heal quicker and see the opportunity that's coming your way more clearly. Every betrayal I've experienced so far has given me strength and insight and there was always another door opening that provided an opportunity for growth and quality experience. Even though it can hurt try to realize that his actions were not motivated by the need to hurt you but by other internal conflicts that are part of his dilemmas. Best wishes to you and the new doors that will be opening. Brian
