Ego is partially self-preservation, as Deepak reminded us. Without ego, we wouldn’t eat, shower, do anything to protect ourselves, so we would die off, denying the world of us.

Ego from false self, neediness, illusion, creates falseness. So I might get someone just from a great body, but then the relationship is false. Instead, if I exercise and stay fit from love, joy of energy and mobility of this body, which is not me, but moves the true me around, love is the energy. Fitness can show self-care, thus one who can care for others.

With 61% of Americans obese (the stage AFTER overweight) let’s love the true self, the body we use, our freedom, health, and mobility. Let’s not use letting-go-of-ego as an excuse for being fat & sick, perpetuating addictions and the sale of toxifying substances. According to surgeon general, 50% of illness comes from obesity.

Let’s all be fit from love, not just to cover up our fear of inadequacy. Let’s not stay fat and self-abusive thinking we don’t have an ego.
