In reply to Silvia Torre. I suggest lie down in bed and do not get up. Waiting for death or enlightenment (both excellent escapes). Just sleep or watch TV, skip meals – do not try to get up cause life is boring and purposeless. I mean your.

I have been looking for my calling and for the purpose of life, all my life and found absolutely nothing. Ever since I was a little girl I found everything extremely boring and meaningless and even when presented with a challenge my question always was: is that all there is?
At 65 I’m certain that I would find comfort in enlightment, but is very hard to achieve. I have have a really hard time controlling my wandering mind and lack discipline.
Any suggestions?

I used to get caught up in the want to be’s and should be’s. Let go of those things, and doing too much. When I finally just let go and let it be, that is when I was at peace with were I was in the present. Don’t fight it flow with it and it will take you.

Life’s purpose for us as humans is to grow every day and every lifetime. Every day offers us lessons to learn and we have to pay attention and be good students. Each of us is at a different level of schooling, so the lessons are specific and custom-made. Sometimes I find it difficult listening about enlightenment, because it feels like a first grader student asked to solve a problem from university level. So I share here what I tell myself as a first grader:

Every day I want to find ways to know His presence. Every day I want to find ways to know His Will better. Every day I want to learn more discipline to be in alignment with His Will. Every day I want to find ways to know His Love better and to be a channel of this Love. Every day I try to get myself better.

I try to be as simple as possible in order to hear and love. I try to be as present as possible in order to hear and love. I try to stay open and quiet – all the answers come through that inner voice.

I think the purpose of life is the experience of being alive and to become aware of this concept is probably the purpose.
