If you want less, you will be happier. This is so true. Why do we need so many things that are not even necessary in the first place? Are you not happy that you wake up alive every morning? Are you not happy you have a shelter, food, and some financial means to live in this Capitalistic society?
What is there more to want for? Want and desire are two totally different things. You can desire as much as you like. You may get what you desire, if you respond to other people's desire equally. You can want as much as you like, but you may not get what you want. Because you are wanting, this means you are asking too much, not grateful for what you already have. You can lack lots of things in life, but still can be happy, or to be quite truthful, you can be happier without lots of things. You will need to reexamine what you desire, rather than want. Best way to affirm this fact is to travel and live in the developing country where the culture is totally different from your own. You will realize how vain and unenlightened you are. You need to get out of your comfort zone. Be adventurous for the pursuit of your desire.
