You know it's funny, I just discussed this with my daughter. She was upset with me when I gave a man at the train station all my change. She worried about what he would do with it. "What if he does things that are bad for his body with it?" she asked me. I told her it isn't about him. I cannot control what he does. But I can choose to be a person that is giving and loving. I choose to be a person that helps people as often as I can. I could also choose to be a person that lies and says "no, I don't have change," when I do or that is cold and ignores someone in trouble. I told her that I choose to be the first and that it would be my hope that if she was in that mans position and needed help, that someone would offer that to her.

When you give from your heart it always happens spontaneously. It can be money or other goods, but it can also be a smile. It is that what you radiate which you always receive back.
If you can give spontaneously from your heart you do not think about it, you just do :)

Love and abundance from a spontaneous heart.
This is always hearthwarming

The gift is in the giving itself.....The receiver is not really receiving the item, of money, water, food, as those are all symbolic concepts that are temporal in the receivers experience. When you give no matter what it is in form, what you are really doing when you give selflessly, Is giving the giveningness of being. That is what you are giving. The receiver is also giving to you, by his receiving. There can be no giving without a receiver....Nature teaches us that....What would a bumble be do in making sweet nectar without the givingness of a flower....
God is both the giver and receiver. "God created life to give and receive of it's own "Being"
