I am myself in that situation despite being married.
Love just happens and you can’t help it!
We don’t meet or even chat. I don’t even know that he loves me too.
But one thing I know it’s true love. we both are with our respective families. Want the best for each other. And for sure- I have become a BETTER PERSON after falling in love.

A love relationship, must have faith in both parties. Faith is a trust, without the trust, the relationship will not last long. Maybe the problem hasn’t been obvious. But it will come.
Falling in love feeling is always good, but true love is not about feeling, but be able to love without attachment.
I will say, good luck to your friend, but she is the one writing her own life, and she is the one will learn from her unique path. Othe than that, as her best friend, you can just be there when she needs you. I am sure she is already so lucky to have a friend like you.

To have a relation with a married man,however platonic it is will surely cause a lot of stress to all the three parties concerned.In a stressful world to create more stress and then look for solutions is not wise.If both of them (friends ) are looking for any kind of approval,then they need to have a relook deep within.
