I have a similar experience as Cam. I lost my 25-year old son in a car accident 6 months ago. I am trying very hard to re-establish my faith, and my beliefs in the after life. It is essential for me to hold on to those beliefs, but at times I have doubts, and I am searching for the hope that he still exists and we will be reunited again one day.

I have always had a belief in God but not necessarily in religion. About 4 years ago I lost my sister and apparently any belief system I had came to an end. I feel as though I came to the realization that, you're born, you live, you die. The end. I am trying to come to a point where I have God in my life but it seems to be gone. I understand how much more fulfilling it is to have a belief system but the more I search for, at least, what I had, the more I find that there is nothing. I would like to find a way to truly believe in an afterlife again.
I would appreciate any help.
Thank you,
Cam Krichmar
