Hi there,
The problem is same with me, i think (probably i have read somewhere, Oshos book) we just try very to hard to get the things – in your case you are not getting connected to the universe, even though, by reading and understanding spiritual notes many a times. so what i would suggest, just let your self connect to universe without being known to it, give it a break, in hard times- most of the times our mind has control over us – as we are not conscious at a higher level. give your job some really great love,out of dedication with nothing else in your mind (no other concerns) don’t expect any results – just pure dedication, that you enjoy doing it – like a child does when he plays any sport (or some other example of your childhood happiness), come out of tensioned situation, and see if you are willing to get connected again, you probably may get some clue.
You may curse me for my helpless writing(i’m also not so concious, just feeding my ego(probably)), but, for a moment think to curse consciously and you may or may not be right, as I am not Buddha.

IMHO don’t look for destiny but instead seek to silence or slow down the constant chatter of the mind through meditation. Habitual meditation is the key. We are all human, at times the best of us still struggle to remain hopeful but that moment of shutting down, isolation & struggling is the mind chatter and we can find peace through meditation. Don’t seek your destiny in your daily life. Go about in your normal life without preconceive notion of what is my destiny. Your destiny will be formed within you & transpired in your daily life through habitual meditation.

You are so right,DC! If people could only remember that “Prayer is when one speaks to God and Meditation is when God speaks to you.” If someone is reading something that means their brain is active digesting and trying to grasp what they are reading. When one meditates all inside is quiet. That voice inside must be stifled. Eventually, one starts to hear the Voice coming from a higher level imparting wisdom and peace.
