The answer can come from a very long list of answers. Sometimes a small amount of certain ingredient can make everything click and work well. Like homeopathy. It can be very insignificant at first sight and at the same time life-changing and life-saving.

For every case it can be a different ingredient. Depends on the personal indificuality.

In this case, I do not think Aasolaris has trust issues. He or she is surrounded with love and trust issues come when someone's trust and open heart have been abused.

When it comes to entrusting one's heart - Yogananda is an example for that. He loved people, but he entrusted his heart with Mother Divine. Very likely that is the case with Aasolaris. He must have discovered that type of love connection.

Thank you, Fiana.

We, humans, tend to put ourselves in narrow boundaries by using cliches. Many situations can be easily resolved by going beyond cliches.

I cannot imagine anyone being afraid of Love. Love is the most nurturing and supportive presence and environment in this world. Even plants feel it - there are experiments and the response is always 100% - the plants that are loved by people, develop better than the ones that are ignore (not neglected).

What people are afraid of is the human interpretation of love. The way to connecting with another is knowing (I mean knowing with your whole being) that you both mean the same thing when you say LOVE and you both have the same value system to support that LOVE flowing.

What does it mean - you had a few opportunities to be with this person? Do you mean you are in love with someone who you have not met and is far away from you? Or you mean to have sex with that person? I think that is the problem - that people speak funny and they confuse themselves that way. Please use the correct words.

I do not believe in losing ability to love. Have you ever lost your ability to eat or breathe? If you have not, I can assure you that you cannot lose your ability to love. You will first lose your ability to breathe before you lose your ability to love. That ability can become dormant for a while, but it is still there.

I feel lots of compassion for everyone who struggles with the issue of trust in people. Especially when it comes to entrusting one's heart. I understand.

Dear Chopra

For 5 years I was in a stable relationship with a partner that seemed to love me very much. Most of the time, and mostly towards the end of the relationship, I didn't feel that I was being myself, it was constricting in many ways. I eventually walked away at the time with the purpose of trying to fulfill my own potentials in life and find "myself". I went abroad, I was away from my country and home for 3 years, and lived a good life but in deep solitude, which didn't bother me very much. Now I am back to my country from this long journey, living in a city I want and doing things I want to do. One thing that came to me though, is that I have grown this deep resistance to relationships, intimacy and love - although I have plenty of friends. For some reason, Love was not a priority and focus of interest of my being. Recently, I fell in love with someone and being in love has caused me hurt. I try to skip, I seem to be escaping all the time, turning away and pretending I am not interested. I had a few opportunities to actually be with this person, but I fear to engage, to let go and to experience the relationship from its beginning, stopping myself from trying and making up reasons for not to go on. I feel sad and afraid that I have lost my ability to love. Please help me with your thoughts and kind words.
