I have suffered with anxiety nearly my whole life and what I've learned is that past negative or even traumatic experiences, as well as, believing every negative thought you think can be a major contributor to why you feel unsettled inside. Learning to meditate was/is very beneficial for me to connect with my true nature. Yoga and gentle movement forms can bring about a wonderful flow of peace. (i happen to teach both and not only do they work in my life, but i have witnessed meditation and movement connect others to a well of healing.) The reason, in my opinion, as to why these modalities work is because they ask you to become present within yourself, to disconnect from the outside world to experience what is inside. That is where true-life lives and breathes. The key is to then bring the practices of yoga to your daily life. I hope this is of service to you. PS: anxiety is fear-based living. you make the choice...
