just to add, my last comment is not meant to sound grim or pessimistic or whatever, it’s not at all. you see, that is the main difference between one who completely understands the conundrum and one who doesn’t. The one who understands it will find what i said liberating, amusing, and comical. The one who dose will find it depressing, but that’s only because he or she does not fully ‘get the joke’. Point of it all, and this is probably the most important point, it doesn’t matter whether anyone ever really get the joke, because after all it’s just a joke, and THAT IS the joke, our feeling of self-importance. Anyways, i hope you become a great teacher.

your question is an excellent one, you phrased the ‘problem’ nearly perfectly. the fact that you are asking this question shows that your mind is at its highest evolutionary stage: suffering from the want of happiness (which is when one sees life for what it really is and begins feeling the desire for the game to simply be over). the answer to your question is that there is no answer to your question, it will always torment you; there is no victory over it, there is only escape from it which is destruction of the self / death. So what does one do in this situation? obviously you (just as i) still have conflicting feelings on the matter (because you’re still clinging on to life). At this point all one can do is ease their suffering by easing the more basic sufferings of others, and educating them on the nature of life. welcome to the big joke, all you can do is just laugh at it, or you’ll be the joke. peace, Charlie

I have never read any books of yours and didn’t spend too much time on holistic subject.Just yesterday I was watching Larry King Life where Dr.Depak,dr.Gupta i two other people were talking.I have seen before in Larry King Live dr.Depak and he impressed me with his vision of life etc.I would like to find out in relation to theory of dr.Depak that it is very important to take control of our body ,mind thru our attitude .Actually I was wondering since I’m by nature very hiper but only when I’m thrown of by some circumstances something that emotionally moves me really bad.Let’s say I want to present myself well up front of nice girl and I have completely failed or something different but that nature situation.It takes me some times, days to bring myself to relax and my normal mental stage and then when this happen I can function and think normal again.Please let me know if you can comment on this because it seems to be very important especially for people who don’t realize it that it is maybe all about our concious and capability to control it

We are fun loving, extremely creative explorers housed in a fragile and poorly equiped physical ship. We like to play and we enjoy making the game difficult. We slip into our own painting to experience our creation. And if we play the game correctly this time the experience sweeps us into new and different levels of bliss. We can play other games or float in perpetual love in the river of light. It’s really just a choice we make.

The true spiritual marriage in man, is a merging of wisdom and love…both which are eternal attributes of Spirit.
The finite(physicality) can not merge with the infinite being, just as illusion is not Reality..

And as great as our spirit/soul, divine self is, so is or can be our physical self here. Even though it is said that matter is an illusion as this life with all its ever fading glory, we certainly can make the better for this material living, because as is above is below, as is our spirit/soul should be our physical life. Just look at the masters, the yogis, Jesus, they all did it and so we can. So, yes life is an opportunity to merge our physical life with our true eternal self, true self.

God didn’t chose us to live a physical life, we did. Its about time we finally find our true essence so we can remember the rules of the universe by we all live, manifesting our true eternal spirit which is a reflection of the Creator. We are not victims, we all chose what to live, when, where, how and still we can continue choosing. Isn’t that marvelous? That is what makes us children of God, realizing our unbounding, limitless loving power just like him/her.

I think all religious and metaphysical schools of thought have a point of absurdity to them. The notion that “we’re here to learn” or “we’re here to help otheres” or “we’re here to awaken to our true essence and set ourselves free of suffering” runs counter to all we are as human beings who feel and experience everything through our senses. We are what we are.

We are all Gods in the embryo. In order to be masters, we must master the lesson ourselves. For example, someone can tell us about what its like to take a calculus course, but until we take the course and learn for ourselves, we will never really know or understand calculus. The universe requires effort on our parts, but is coupled always with loving assistance from the Source.

Soul is intelligent eternal life- and life can only be what it is, “Life”

Life itself can not die-

Soul or Spirit signifies Deity and nothing else-

A man must come to know his true self in God to really understand what soul is…in which mortal thought can not comprehend.

There is no finite Soul or Spirit.

Realizing your true self, reveals, Spirit, Soul, as not in the body, and God as not in man but as reflected and expressed by man.

Soul, Spirit, The formless and unseen intelligence is life truth and love, forever manifesting in outline form and color, all that is.

Divine principle, God, Spirit, Soul, Truth, Life are One, which man is the full and perfect expression, God, Soul which outlines, but is not outlined-

There is only One Soul-God, individualized in each man.

Soul is expressed as the very attributes and qualities and ideas of the Divine Mind, which is God-

God is Love, Discover your true being in Love, and you will then know your Soul…

In reply to Jas. What is the soul? We have not seen or experienced it. If the soul has been created by God, he could have created an evolved soul. Why create an unevolved soul and make it evolve? What's the purpose of this act? Birth and death are the only realities we know. Re-birth, cycle of births, soul, heaven, hell----all are theories or concepts about which we can talk endlessly, but will really get us nowhere. We have this one life, we know for sure, so let us live it well, with honesty, integrity, and compassion. Forget about re-birth, it is not going to help us in any way.

What about the Soul ? I think the reason we are born in this physical body is so that our soul can experience the divine and the diabolical. And we may make the right choices for the evolution of our Soul. The cycle of birth and death of the pysical body, I think, happens so that the evolution of the Soul may occur.

Life is a one sided game, loaded in favour of the one who created the game—God, existence, Almighty, Nature, the whole, Source—whatever name we give it hardly matters. Why this game has been created is anybody’s guess. But since the game is there, one has to play. We enter the game only through one route—-by birth from the womb of our mothers, but we can leave the game of life in a whole lot of ways–natural causes, accidents, murder, suicide. So, there are more exit options than entry options. We are also not told all the rules of the game, so we do not know what will happen if we do something or don’t do something. The future is always kept unknown, and we will know only when it becomes the present moment. Good, bad, evil, sin, saintliness, heaven, hell—these are terms that are part of the game. Perhaps when we exit, we will get an idea of what this was all about. Till such time, we can only play the game. And since we are not told all the rules, why not enjoy this game while it lasts, squeezing out every moment of this game, having fun, making merry, helping others, and generally having a good time, till the refree blows the whistle, and it is time to go home?
