May I suggest in addition to read E. Tolle’s “The Power of Now” and slowly read the part on “pain-body”.

Write down those pasts that haunt you; put them in a box and then burn them with a prayer to God. Then focus on gratitude, it will shut down the part of the brain that worries: it actually works. (forgot who said that..)Sometimes, I have to say out loud those things, etc. I am grateful for and that snaps me happily into a peaceful present. As Deepak says – peace, harmony, laughter and love.
