Thankyou for your question, and your answer Deepak it has helped me affirm that we must listen to the part of ourself "higher self" Spirit" where fear dosnt reside just infinite possibilities. With out it we will always revert back to our fears, doubts and past. Take care.

I had a job that I liked and was working with people whom I potentially could have liked long-term as well.

The problem was that my employers were fed with non-truth about me based on ignorance and arrogance. That "well intended" story came from a group and people tend to believe a group(even if there is no truth in them. especially if the members of the group seem important) and tend not to believe one person(especially if that person seems insignificant).

People tend to say "if there is a smoke, there should have been a fire".

Dr. Chopra is very much right - people live in fear all the time and if someone who seems important or acts as if caring comes and points to a shade in the forest and says: "that is a bear", and stages his words for the right effect, people very likely will believe him and act accordingly, even if there is no bear there at all.

We should overcome fear, overcome assumptions, overcome all kinds of generalizations and learn to think on our own and discern on our own and grow in understanding so we do not believe in superstitions. Otherwise persecuting Jews would have still been a wide-spread practice just because so many Jews were persucuted in the past (and I do not mean only by the Nazis). And every next generation would be repeating the same "If there was a smoke, there must have been a fire". How degrading for all humankind would have been!

Fear, assumptions, smearing, creating ghosts because of fear, generalizing, lack of love - that is primitive and abusive. It has no place in our lives. Neither when we look for a job, nor when we get the job, nor in any relationships.
