What if the person who is difficult is probably a sociopath? I've tried helping this person in the past and then walked away from her because she was causing too many problems in my life. Now we are part of the same organization but she tends to want to be 'leader' though she is not capable of being an effective one because everything is centered around her (her first and only priority); thus the organization is suffering. How do I deal with this sociopath? Should I stop my involvement with the organization or find her a psychiatrist somehow?

I normally use the principles set out in the drama triangle and recently I have come up against a controller and avoider type in a business context. I acted by being unintimidated and took a step to gain some clarity with the business issue which seems to be working. Thanks for sharing.

Nice thoughts & several of these things I know work because I've used them before but I think it's important to point out that many times a person that annoys us is reflecting a quality back to us that we don't like about ourselves....sometimes to deal with them better we need to look within.

Hugs,
