If the wealthy and powerful could just live through that sort of fear – of not knowing where their next meal is coming from; not having a safe place to live; not having all the things they take for granted – maybe they would change and remember the Golden Rule.
And if they continue their current behavior they may have the opportunity soon.

The interest rates on loans were in usury territory during his administration (as much as 17 percent on car loans)thanks to the thugs in the good ol’ boy network. Nobody would cooperate with him, either.

On September 8, 1974, Gerald Ford- who was never elected to the presidency or vice-presidency, pardoned Richard M. Nixon.

Underlying all this superficial adjectives is a deep rooted racism. The politicians (bigoted or not) are using it to pull on the heartstrings of the conservative American public – playing on their fears and amplifying their prejudice.

Ironically the politicians stand to gain power and wealth while the common American dwells deeper into ignorance, foreclosure and unemployment. You can’t really blame them when they attribute immigration, progressive politics and tolerance as the culprit – while the real players (republican party) enjoy summer vacations on Texas Ranches.
