Deepak, I LOVED your 5 ingredients for solving a crisis and realized just today that I have evolved through my crisis using these exact ingredients over the past two years. Through the deaths of three family members, a crisis with my toxic hospital position as an M.D. and on your encouragement that I could incorporate that archetype of “wonderwoman”, I realized that 1. I don’t have to suffer and 2. I am leading a better life 3.I have learned so much from mistakes 4. I really had to let go of a lot of fear and anger – ( more than I thought I was capable of) – and I was capable because 5. I surrendered. I remember driving home in the rain exhausted from work as an M.D. and from my life and crying out – I surrender – some one else had to take over and they did. Today I drove that same road home but this time it was so different. It was a beautiful sunny day and I was free of my opld position on the way home from my first TV appearance as a Holistic Health and Wellness Coach and Chair of Public Health where I had so much fun sharing with others how to live healthy and happy. It has been a wild ride but I have emerged so much stronger and better than before. My process was EXACTLY as Deepak outlined and when you are mired in it, it is hard to see the way out – That is when you can just let go and Let God. If it can work on an individual, it can absolutely work on a collection of individuals – a country. We are all connected. ( p.s. Thanks to Deepak. Thanks to Brent Becvar who predicted my path that I could not see) I am eternally grateful.

Even though I agree with your estimation of Sarah Palin, I was surprised you dismissed her without blessing her by saying she is doing the best she can with the consciousness available to her at this time.I am sure she truly believes she is helping. Who knows maybe she is helping people deal with their fear. I don’t believe it is up to us to denigrate those with whom we disagree or do not understand. Isn’t the light of understanding part of your message?

The American dream has turned into a nightmare, because Americans have refused to wake up.
America is no longer a superpower — economically, politically, or even militarily. There is no longer a national sense of cohesiveness or coherence or direction. Those who aren’t angry, are confused. And wise, inspirational leadership is seriously lacking.
Deepak, if you are comparing a nation to an individual, America is very sick, and it will take major surgery and reconstruction to get it healthy again. Your five points are reasonable goals to attain, but they are not the medicine!

It is amazing how political persuasion can skew people’s thinking. From outside the US it is clear that what has happened to Obama is unfortunate considering his good start. What Deepak is offering are psychospiritual principles to help America through it’s self-imposed crisis. As far as judgements are concerned, do you really not get it about Palin? How sad.

I’m appalled at this. No. I’m offended and SHOCKED if this is from Deepak. This is the 2nd article I’ve seen written on this Deepak site that JUDGES others so harshly high figure powers (Palin, Carter, etc.) It truly shows me that Deepak is a farce when it comes to his teachings & principles. I QUIT reading any of his books after I read the 1st judgemental article. Now , after this 2nd article has appeared, I’m spreading the word…Beware of wolves in sheeps clothing.

I want you to know that “How to Know God” is something that I have listened to repeatedly and gained enormous peace of mind from, and that I really have enjoyed “The Third Jesus” once, and plan to read it twice more. But still, everything that you see the “right” guilty of, it appears to me that the left is doing. What is that? I’m not exactly mentally retarded, so I’m wondering what is going on here…don’t think I’m emotionally retarded anymore….

This is so disappointing. I have fallen in love with you (as a person, you know 🙂 through your books, but politically, I just couldn’t disagree with you more. I feel that it is the left wing that is guilty of the very same things that you accuse the right wing of. I think you must have a stilted view of things because of India’s relationship with Britain, or because of racial prejudices that exist, or because of simple peer pressures. The left is not able to help; California is broke! That is not helpful! If “forced improvement leads to resentment”, then it is the left that is guilty of it. You have to make money to share it.

We are awakening to a reality in which the institutions and persons we rely on to keep balance and peace, are infiltrated throughout with evil and greedy men who worship their own power. Can anything hurt MORE than the realization that the goal is to eliminate the middle class in America? With no middle class there are only 2 powers: the lower class given the power to beg and the upper class having the power to refuse.

Depak, I so agree with you. In 1999 during meditation I received the poem, ” I Understand”.Living by these 12 principles of the poem will help heal the world. Willful surrender cleans the mind and allows rewiring to begin. New thought begins keeping the old short circuitry at bay. The essence of who we really are can emerge. Dear Deepak, I tend to agree w/ U*. The dedication that it takes for a person to constantly be a message of good, takes incredible energy. Especially when U* are so very patient to “break it all down”. “We the People” are thankful for your balanced voice.
It is our nature to live our “nature”, & we must continue to teach the very young, that “all things are possible”, & work together for the good of all.
“War is not, & has never been the answer”, no matter our moments of despair.
