I am a Christian - I read the 3rd Jesus and I was greatly impacted by your insight and understanding. It is so true - it is hard to follow the teachings of Jesus, unless you walk in the Spirit, which makes the letter comes alive. The law kills - the Spirit gives Life. I also enjoy great intimacy with God whenever I read your books. I am still pussled as to why?

IT may very well be. Yet, understanding (the ability to flow IN...)is not an ending, or some such thing to be in possession of. It's a new beginning. In reality, it's much ado about no-thing. :)

(I don't believe a new screen name every 8 seconds qualifies as a new beginning. Shame on the moon...) :)

Are any of the religions today pure reflections of the teachings of a few thousand years ago? How could they be? The sense here is they adapt to circumstances rather than evolve.

dear Mr. chopra: I have been a fan of your writing, world view and peaceful thinking. And you do claim to not follow any particular religion yet quote from many. This is commendable. But your current article is infused with a kind of judgment not appropriate for the man of your caliber.

You say "It is remarkable the extent to which the life of the Prophet set the template for attitudes that persist today."

Are you trying to say that, for instance, if some impoverished, socially educationally and psychologically isolated individual or group decides to follow you like a cult and takes your written works and overly analyze it, misinterprets and misconstrue it to take any awful action in their environment justifying it through YOUR words, it should reflect on YOUR knowledge and practice of the subject?!!

How can you blame a prophet or any prophet or representatives of the religion for the human lack of understanding of their teachings? How many ppl in your life have been suspicious about you and misjudged you or sued you for unnecessary/ and probably false reasons?

I think you have been extremely unfair to a prophet and his teachings. And you should be more careful with your words.
