While imitation is the sincerest form of flattery, this is just not right. Proper attribution = good karma. Removing watermark = pretty low for a man of your stature. Please do the right thing here.

Dear Mr. Chopra...this is one of my favourite cartoons. Unfortunately, it appears to be the property of cartoons.noiseofindia.com and your website has removed the watermark and signature. That's pretty sad. The cartoon was created a talented young person, and he's not asking for payment, just acknowledgment. It has also been printed in a newspaper in India with credit to him, so clearly he is the creator. Why deny him the credit?

Dear Mr. Deepak Chopra, my regards, sincere!
Your daily inspiration often helps make things clear.

Initially, I was thrilled to see the cartoon: The monk and email;
Almost perfect, quite befitting on your wonderful site!
But then, quite distraught, I almost let out a wail!
When I realized noiseofindia's watermark invisible in every light.

Ah! the irony hit me, just in time, I think
I realized how attached to noiseofindia I'd become in a blink
But while detachment is important, and will help me attain bliss
Isn't it still adharmic for credit to be amiss?

Any clarification on this point will put my mind at ease,
For after all, I only wish to remain in peace!

Thank you, once again, for your thoughtful words, daily,
And in advance for your help, Sincerely, Deepti.

ps: In case you were unaware of the reference I make,
Here's the link, I'm positive its not fake: http://cartoons.noiseofindia.com/page/5/
