Sheena Iyengar is the S.T. Lee Professor of Business at Columbia Business School and the Director of the Global Leadership Matrix (GLeaM) Program. Professor Iyengar holds a business degree from the Wharton School and a doctorate from Stanford University. Since 1998, she has taught courses at the Columbia Business School on Leadership, Thinking Globally and Entrepreneurial Creativity. Professor Iyengar is one of the world’s foremost experts on how people perceive and respond to choice, and for her research on this topic she has been the recipient of honors including the 2002 Presidential Early Career Award for Social Scientists. Her award-winning book, The Art of Choosing, which explores the mysteries of choice in everyday life, was chosen as one of the 2010 Goldman Sachs and the Financial Times Business Books of the Year. Professor Iyengar’s work is also regularly cited in the press, including the New York Times, the Wall Street Journal, Fortune and Time magazines, and on popular television programs. In 2011, she was named a member of the Thinkers50, a global ranking of the top 50 management thinkers, and was recently chosen as one of the World’s Best B-School Professors by Poets and Quants.
