Vladimir L. Voeikov
He defended his Ph.D. thesis in Biophysics in 1971 and his Doctor of Biological Sciences thesis in 2003 at MSU. V. Voeikov is Full Professor and Vice-Chairman of the Chair of Bioorganic Chemistry, Faculty of Biology, MSU.
He is a member of the International Institute of Biophysics in Neuss (Germany), member of SPIE, member of All-Russia Biochemical Society. He is the Honorary Fellow of the System of Professional Education of Russian Federation, Laureate of the Premium from Jacques Benveniste Association, associate editor of “WATER: A Multidisciplinary Research Journal”.
In 2008 V.L. Voeikov chaired the Third Annual Conference on the Physics, Chemistry and Biology of Water –West Dover, VT. He is the author and co-author of more than 250 publications, including papers published in scientific journals, proceedings of congresses, books and monographs. He is interested in properties of water providing for its biological role in sustaining living systems in the steady non-equilibrium (living) state, in particular in the role of water in bioenergetics.
