The healing process rest on three fundamental laws.
1-Your thinking determines your experience.
2-Your thinking can be spiritualized through an understanding of God.
3-This improved thinking must then manifest itself in an improved state of existence.

i loved reading, “it’s worth remembering that every cell in your body is eavesdropping on the brain…”

i know that every cell in my body is hearing the positive words i’m saying now; that they’re hearing that i’m sorry for all the negative ones i’ve said in the past; that they’re hearing that i totally expect a healing!!! :o)

Thanks Deepak for the wonderful thoughts. I have often thought about the power of our thoughts, and their effect on us and others. I believe, our body creates so much waste, and toxins which we have to remove anyhow.We should atleast try to keep our mind free of waste and make it like a beautiful garden by harbouring good thoughts. And when we speak to others, our thoughts should be soothing and positive in every way.

I enjoyed reading this article. I agree completely. I am a product of the nocebo. My parents completely used the negative reinforcement to teach. It is toxic and i fight it daily . Maybe this will make someone think twice about their words to the world.

Wonderful piece Deepak, so much truth and so much power is held in a word and our intent and thought pattern that drives the word out of our mouths has the ultimate power to heal or harm.

Are we not told as children that “sticks & stones may break my bones, but words may never hurt me”? We say this hoping to strengthen children, to make them stronger & impervious to hateful comments. Yet, every child knows this is not true. Every child who has been told “you’re stupid”, “you’re ugly”, “that’s dumb”, “I don’t like you.” The words wound, implant, fester, and grow… too often with terrible, lingering, life-altering consequences. Think of a celebrated magical child – MJJ – who carried painful words from his childhood (“nose is too big/you’re ugly/not good enough”) all the way thru his life… and the extraordinary measures he took to overcome them. Oh yes, words CAN and DO hurt.

I agree with Deepak & the other commentors – words have power. And one single word can change the heart, or the world.
