Living in the world but not of it….even in the midst of everyday living—-

living a monastic life from within, while we go about our daily business—

God, life, Truth and Love is everywhere present-

We can never escape from our self- We are always free even when we don’t “think” so

Deepak Chopra has answered the question so well, reminding us that spirituality is not another name for escapism, which is what it seems to many of us. We often feel like dropping all our worldy responsiblities and running away, to some far off monastery, to spend our lives in the search of freedom and truth, without realising that it will not help. As far as being free is concerned, I am always enthralled by a quote from the Ashtavakra Samhita, an ancient vedic text, which says
“It is true what they say:
“You are what you think.”
If you think you are bound you are bound.
If you think you are free you are free.”
