How to Change Your Energy
For most people, the greatest good they could do for themselves is to change their energy. Your emotions give off energy that can be positive or negative. It’s a common experience to walk into a room and feel tension in the air, as opposed to a room where the atmosphere is cheerful and relaxed. We tend to assume that energy is physical, but two people can eat the same lunch and wind up with totally different energy. Meditation and God
In your last answer to the question on meditation you wrote: ‘Once you put yourself in the flow of universal intelligence, you can feel assured that your growth is proceeding as quickly and perfectly as possible.’
My question is: Is meditation becoming conscious of being one with God? I sometimes feel the need to give thanks, but is it more important just to be in the presence of God and let God be God in one’s being?
Obama’s Invisible Victories
From the left we are so used to disappointment that we almost need it, but let’s not indulge in sheer masochism. Politics isn’t always about the bottom line, and for me, President Obama’s invisible victories are immensely heartening. He has cleansed the Presidency, reinstated America’s status in the world, championed ideals on every front, and spoken truth to power, whether that means calling both the Israelis and Muslims to account or facing down racism in this country.
