Waiting for Direction

In my desire for inner peace I started my spiritual journey six years ago. There have been many lessons learned along the way from recognizing living a haphazard life, to behaviors of childhood conditioning, learning to let go of what no longer serves me, toxic energy and how to avoid. Many of the choices I made in the past now I understand were unconscious from not living in the present. Now on this journey of life I am still seeking my destiny. I am out of work and not sure what I want to do, I keep asking but nothing comes. I understand that if I do not get a job potentially I will become a burden to my family. I am questioning whether this is fear of not moving forward or caution to bring what will benefit my life. I have taken steps to prepare to get a job applying to all the modern day practices needed to stand out and be noticed. I just have not presented myself to any companies…..it seems to be a block in my energy to take such a step. Do you have any suggestions that may help me see what I am not seeing as of yet? Thank you for your help!

The Influence of Others

I was driving south on the 101 from Santa Barbara back home to Los Angeles. My trips to Santa Barbara are filled with nostalgia. I spent some of my best, most free years there. It’s inevitable that my drives back to Los Angeles consist of an hour and half of evaluating where I am at now, in my life and why I don’t feel as light and free as I did in Santa Barbara. I truly believe it’s because it’s the people and things I have chosen to surround myself with. I feel like it’s chaotic. I came to the conclusion I only have one friend that isn’t in some kind of constant life crisis. So here is my question. I turned my radio on and heard you talking about how the people your surround yourself with effect you. You were talking about something like if your neighbor is smiling it effects you. I only caught the tail end of it. I was wondering if there is a book you could recommend to me on this topic? Thank you

The Path from Heart Disease to Heart Health

You might have heard the expression “You’re as young as your arteries”—and it’s true. But understanding how to keep arteries young and our heart healthy is   a mystery for  many. The cardiovascular continuum is a way of thinking about cardiovascular disease, like heart attacks and atherosclerosis, as later complications in a long chain of events.
